GP Education

The local medical school is the University of East Anglia (UEA) and was founded in 2001. The medical students are involved with primary care-based learning from year 1. Many GPs and practices in Norfolk and Waveney play host to medical students and are actively involved in their undergraduate education. The UEA also hosts various postgraduate courses in medical subjects and has a school of nursing.

The local GP Vocational Training Schemes (VTS) are Norwich, West Norfolk and Great Yarmouth and Wavaney.
